The Florida Institute for Community Studies (FICS) needs mentors, tutors and volunteers for multiple positions Monday - Saturday throughout the year. We work with the following communities: Wimauma, Ruskin, Plant City/Dover, and Town'N'Country.
Our Multicultural Family Center is a great place to start - we are located at 6704 Hanley Road, Tampa, FL 33634 (See Map).
See a list of current volunteer positions.
There are recurring events that we always need help with: Anniversary Parties, Latin Food Festival, Multicultural Festival, 3 Kings Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Puerto Rican Independence Day and Mexican Independence Day. Email our volunteer coordinator to find out about upcoming events: ficsnadia@yahoo.com
FICS volunteers are expected to follow a few basic rules to promote safety and respect.
Volunteer Orientation is held at 6:30 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month and only takes 90 minutes, so come attend and get started!!! Email our volunteer coordinator for more information: ficsnadia@yahoo.com
View, print and complete important volunteer forms before you attend an orientation.
