FICS Announces Grant From The Community Foundation of Tampa Bay
Tampa, FL (July 20, 2020)–The Florida Institute for Community Studies (FICS) is pleased to announce a grant from the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay, an organization focused on making a positive impact on the Tampa Bay region.
Through the Nonprofit Needs List, the Community Foundation is partnering with FICS as we embark on an Extended “Coronavirus” Version of Summer4Success in both Wimauma and Town n Country. This grant allows us to expand bilingual staff, support families affected by the virus, acquire hotspots to be used by various households and teach life skills to youth ages 9-17 years of age.
The Community Foundation of Tampa Bay has been growing philanthropy in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Hernando and Citrus counties since 1990. The Foundation’s donors have made possible more than $210 million in grants to nonprofit organizations.
