Dr. Alayne Unterberger, Executive Director

Dear FICS Community:

Our community has been nervous ever since the Uvalde massacre. While there has been no specific threat against FICS or our programming, we are taking measures to improve security at our Morgan Woods Location. One measure being implemented is the installation of high definition cameras, both inside and outside our building. In addition, beginning August 1st, all exterior doors will be locked at all times. When visitors approach our building, staff will be alerted via our camera system. Once the visitor is identified, they will be granted entry inside.

If you have any questions feel free to contact us at 813-801-6844.

Sincerely,

FICS

The safety of our youth, staff, volunteers, and community is FICS' number one priority. At FICS, all volunteers and employees are extensively screened and vetted prior to involvement in our programs. All staff are fingerprinted and level 2 DCF background checked. Our facilities and events are gun-free zones. FICS maintains a positive relationship with the Hillsborough County Sheriffs Office and report all safety concerns immediately. If you have any questions regarding safety at FICS please contact our Executive Director, Dr. Alayne Unterberger, at alayneu@ficsinc.org.
